Small night systems
Even a modest DC setup is worth having. I run a separate small system for night power, apart from the main home bank.
A small DC system still counts
I use it to charge phones and devices after dark. It is a small thing, but it takes a bit of load off the grid and keeps useful power available when the sun is down.
These fast-charging PD USB sockets from China are great for that. They run straight off 12V or 24V, mount in a panel or enclosure, and charge a phone at turbo speed without an inverter in the way. USB-C PD up top, QC 3.0 USB-A below, and a little voltage readout so you can see what the bank is sitting at.
